This galley kitchen had a low ceiling and close walls, which conveyed the feeling of a tight and dark enclosure. Our clients wanted to be greeted with light, comfort and warmth even during the cloudiest days of the Pacific NorthWest. We opened and largely connected the kitchen to the outside by removing walls between the living areas, raising the ceiling and installing skylights. The crisp white cabinets, the honed black granite, and the sleek lines of the appliances, lighting fixtures and fittings are all contributing to an airy and casual atmosphere. The kitchen is very functional and livable. It works perfectly for our clients’ busy lifestyle and is all about brightness, openness and efficiency!
